Layar presents an interesting concept about the impact of the pandemic on small local cinemas, highlighting the struggles of a community trying to revive a beloved theater. However, inconsistencies in logic, timeline, and character motivations weaken the narrative’s believability. Despite its potential, the film’s execution—especially in acting and dialogue—falls short, though it still offers meaningful commentary on nostalgia and collective memory.
