This is about an A-List actor who is looking to get away from the spotlight for a while and his brother knows of a guy with a secluded house in a remote mountain and arranges for his brother to go there for a while and it is not long before the actor and the guy in the mountains fall in love. There is also a secondary couple with two actors and a third couple was hinted at, but never quite happens. The show is mostly slow moving, sad and actually a little boring at times. The main couple takes center stage for about the first six episodes, then the guy with the house leaves for a military-type training and he’s basically away for much of the series. This is 16 parts long and for parts 7 through 16 it mostly focuses on the actor missing his boyfriend who basically just makes guest appearances. This goes on way too long and it causes the story to drag in parts. I won’t give any spoilers about what happens to the characters, some have a happy ending, some a hopeful one and some don’t live until the end of the series. The overall story wasn’t bad, but the way they told the story could have been better. The series also lacks consistent momentum; there are times when it picks up the pace and there are other times where almost nothing happens. There are also a few scenes where a character does something that doesn’t make sense and it’s out of context, so the viewer really has no idea why the character this doing something (I don’t want to give that away, but it does leave you wondering why certain things are happening). For the production, episodes 1 through 15 have post credit scenes and throughout the series they take some creative artistic approaches to the filming and some of them are unique and interesting. The first episode this very off-putting, you have the actor traveling to the mountain house and they are just throwing names at you and random clips of other characters and you have no idea who they are or what they mean to the story; it doesn’t start to really make sense until the second episode. In addition to the main series, there is also a bonus series with the same name but with Small Theater added to the end of the tile. These are basically short cut scenes from the original series, most of them have no talking and just feature make out scenes of the main couple. There are 11 episodes in this series ranging from about 2 to 6 minutes in length, each titled for the episode from which they were cut. They finished it off with 3 Special Episodes, each is less than 15 minutes long and it gets really bizarre. When the main couple gets a magic tea, it allows them to travel through time or alternate realities, there is some debate about that and each tries to change the past in their own way, but the viewer is left unsure of if anything changed or not, it was inconclusive as to what really happened and does not appear to affect the original series at all.
